Overview
Your day begins at 9:00am, when your guide will meet you at your Wellington city accommodation or pre-arranged meeting point.
You will travel out of Wellington along the Hutt River (used for Anduin) stopping at several filming locations along the way.
You will see the Gardens of Isengard, the felling of the Orc Tree, Anduin River, Helms Deep and Minas Tirith.
You will have freshly brewed coffee at Rivendell and see the Fords of Isen. Traveling into the Wairarapa region over the Rimutaka mountains you will visit the site of Lothlorien - the white bridge is there and is a great photo opportunity!
Also beside the Gladden fields (where Smeagol fought with Deagol). Both locations are situated at the elegant and beautiful Fernside Lodge in the Wairarapa.
Our tour has exclusive access to that site and you will be served a gourmet picnic lunch at the White Bridge of Lothlorien - one of the few remaining structures used in the filming.
After lunch you will return to Wellington where you will go to the summit of Mount Victoria. Beside the lookout you will be in Hobbiton Woods where you can “race to the Ferry” and “get off the Road”.
This tour also visits the magnificent new Weta Cave in Miramar where you will take a 20 minute virtual tour in the purpose built mini theatre and see the wonderful creations of Weta Workshop.
Miramar is production central and the home of Peter Jackson and many of the cast and crew. Your guide will return you to your accommodation at the end of the day.

If you do not attend at the agreed date, time and place you may not be entitled to any refund by the activity supplier.
